"Light ruby red color in the glass. Welcoming aromas of black cherry, mocha, clove and underbrush. A light to mid weight elegant style with tasteful spiced cherry flavor framed by complimentary oak and modest tannins. A savory herbal riff plies the background. This vibrant wine finishes with a searching, quenching ending. Heather has a touch with Pinot Noir. " - Rusty Gaffney

BURGHOUND - 91 POINTS "OUTSTANDING"
OCTOBER 2017 ISSUE
"There is just enough wood to notice on the overly spicy nose of both red and blue Pinot fruit cut with plum and violet scents that are ripe but fresh. The suave, round and delicious, medium-bodied flavors possess a seductive mouth feel while delivering good persistence on the balanced, dusty, and persistent finish. This will need a few years to develop better overall depth but the balance and underlying material are such that more complexity should certainly develop." - Allen Meadows https://www.burghound.com/tnsearch/index.php?id=264472

"It is an honor for winemaker, Heather Manross, to be ranked alongside such iconic producers as Williams Selyem and Morlet who also produce wine from Lone Oak Vineyard. This single-vineyard, boutique production offering from Manross Wines is a beautiful and pure expression of the pinot noir varietal and the renowned 2014 vintage. Our panel described it as a super-expressive wine that bursts from the glass with exotic red currants and berries, sweet and savory spices and incredible minerality. Plain and simply, it's superb and with only 50 cases produced you’re going to want to jump on this special bottle of wine." - The Vinformants http://www.vinformant.com

FEBRUARY 2017 ISSUE
"Moderate reddish purple color in the glass. Exhilarating aromas of fresh Bing cherry, spice, vanillin and nutty oak. Polished and refreshing on the palate, with the mid weight essence of glorious black cherry, cherry cola and black raspberry flavors. Plenty of ripe sap, but vibrant, with a juicy acid underbelly. Lovely balance, with silken tannins and a compliment of oak. Still charged with deep cherry flavor and juiciness when tasted the following day from a previously opened and re-corked bottle. Uncommon verve in a seductively appointed Pinot that is welcoming now." -Rusty Gaffney http://www.princeofpinot.com/article/1915/

BURGHOUND - 90 POINTS "OUTSTANDING"
OCTOBER 2016 ISSUE
"A ripe and pretty nose features notes of red currant, spice, cherry and floral hints. There is an appealing mouth feel to the round and generously proportioned medium weight flavors that are almost succulent while retaining reasonably good definition on the sappy, velvety and balanced finale. This flirts with a hint of warmth but it remains quite subtle and overall, this is quite good. Note that this is also a wine that could be enjoyed young or aged for a few years to good effect." NOVEMBER 2015 ISSUE
"Moderately light reddish purple color in the glass. Alluring perfume of cherry pie glaze, cranberry and spice. A charming and somewhat delicate wine that delivers plenty of cherry, raspberry and spice flavors. Oak chimes in subtlety as does the whole cluster producing a bit of herbal seasoning. The modest tannins are fine grain and the cherry driven finish offers a juicy grip of acidity. Impressive harmony." - Rusty Gaffney- Score: 92.
